NYLT stands for National Youth Leadership Training and has been Scouting’s premiere leadership training program since its establishment in 2003. The training is held over 6 days, or a two-weekend span and scouts will learn important Scout and life skills that can translate over to troop leadership and even everyday life. To participate in NYLT, scouts must meet the following requirements: Be at least 13 years of age and at least of First Class rank , have approval from their unit leader AND parents/guardians, and have completed the Introduction to Leadership Skills for Troops (ILST). There are several courses offered in Michigan Crossroads Council this year. You can register and learn more here: https://scoutingevent.com/272-2025MCCNYLT
Three local packs have requested den chief help. Whether you were a Cub Scout or not, this is a GREAT way to help local packs, to gain leadership experience and to set the role model for what Cubs could grow into.
Troop 777 has been selected to represent Scouting at our State's Capitol. We need 10-15 additional Scouts to run a Scout Skills display on the Capitol lawn.
Please plan to turn in your paperwork and registration fees to the front desk on Tuesday.
Why is this so important? We need your paperwork to register your youth (and you) with BSA in Troop 777. Until then, we cannot record your youth's advancement. Additionally, you wont have an account on our website, so you will not be on our weekly eblast nor have access to register for events.
